Gift Guides 2020

christmas family mom life Nov 19, 2020

It's my favorite time of year! I love planning for Thanksgiving and Christmas and gift shopping. I tend to be a little obsessive about finding the perfect gift. I really don't like clutter and want to give gifts that delight but are also practical and functional. I definitely over think it!

In case you are the same, I wanted to throw together a few recommendations on things that I'm loving that I think would be crowd pleasers for those on your list.

Okay, I'll be honest, this is all stuff that I personally love to give and get!

This Adorable Pink Hoodie from Target is only $25 and so comfy.

The Hydroflask is the cool water bottle of the moment. I love a BIG water bottle with a straw so that it doesn't spill if knocked over.

I'm a big fan of eye masks and the silk ones are extra special. Target is carrying them this year in some really pretty colors and they are only $15.

Target is also carrying silk pillowcases in the same colors as the eye masks for $30. Silk pillowcases are great for your skin and your hair.

My absolute favorite soap in the entire world is the lavender ritual cleansing bar. I cut it in half and use 1/2 in the shower and 1/2 for washing my hands. It doesn't dry my skin out and smells like a spa.

You guys know that I love headbands! In this season of quarantine, they've been my go to item for feeling slightly put together. Anthropologie has an adorable selection. I also love this one from Noonday! Their selection of jewelry and accessories is precious!

Target has some adorable candles for a great price. These would make a lovely hostess gift or teacher gift and you can't beat the price. I'd tie up in a cellophane bag with a pretty ribbon. I love anything mercury glass.

I'm obsessed with this sleep balm. I rub it on my feet at night and it smells so good. These are a really fun stocking stuffer for anyone that struggles with sleeping well.

I mean, who doesn't love a starbucks card. These are great to have on hand for that last minute present that you forgot about. I rarely get myself a fancy beverage so these are always a welcome gift for me.

I've raised a little army of blanket stealers. We never have enough over here and the softest ones are always a hot commodity. This fuzzy one with the pom poms checks all the boxes.

How cute are these earrings? I mean, I'm obsessed. I love a fun statement earring and Noonday makes the cutest ones! And they are all handmade by artisans in impoverished countries.

2020 is all about the comfy jammies! These ones are perfect and come in a ton of different colors.

I love getting this simple ornament from Target every year. Pottery Barn also has adorable ones! I print out our christmas card photo in a wallet size and fill it each year. This would be a fun present idea for grandparents too!

My other go to grandparent gift, is photo books from Chatbooks. I like the chatbooks design options and the covers. They are really well made and very easy to design. My mother in law and mom love getting those.

I love, love, love this lotion bar. I had no idea how effective beeswax could be to heal skin and moisturize but this stuff is awesome. It comes in three scent options but the lavender is my favorite as I have very sensitive skin.

Last but not least, dry brushing is my new favorite way to decompress and detox. It actually stimulates the lymphatic system to help flush toxins from your system. This one is very high quality and I've been loving it.

We order the Lego Advent Sets each year for the boys. They love them. Make sure you order early because they always run out. I waited until the first day of Advent one year, and that did not work out well.

My boys love Chaco Sandals. They are comfy but easy to put on by themselves. I usually gift them one thing to wear like a rain jacket, sandals or even hiking boots.

Our oldest has gotten really in to surfing over the last year and he loves this surf board we got him from Amazon. I looked endlessly to find a board as they've been selling out quickly during Covid. Get one of these quick if your kiddo is asking for a surf board.

I'm currently obsessed with this trampoline. I've been obsessively researching and this one is a great mid-range option. There are cheaper ones but I'm all about quality and my boys are ROUGH on things.

My kids really want an Amazon echo so that they can be the djs for family dance parties. I wish we'd gotten one last year when I'd thought about it.

I've been looking for a saucer swing with a stand like this for a few years and am really excited to get it for the kiddos.

If you are in the market for a scooter, I highly recommend the Micro Mini Scooters. They are super easy to maneuver for 3-5 year olds and worth the extra money.

Bowman loves gift cards. If you are looking for a gift for a 8+ year old boy, I recommend Game Stop, Bass Pro, or Academy Sports. Also, passes to do something fun like the trampoline place, rock climbing gym, paint ball place, driving range, or whatever else they like is a great option.

My boys also love these fleece onesie pajamas. We live in Florida so it's never cold enough for them but they still love them. I always buy them a size too big so they can wear for a long time. My kids go through pajamas so quickly and they love getting them as presents.

I haven't been in the little girl gift game very long! But I'm super excited to get these dolls for her. I mean, how cute are they?  She loves princesses and anything she can hug. And her daddy is a huge Disney nerd.

My kiddos love books and I try and give them each a book every year. If you haven't explored Osborne books, check them out. They have some really cute books for babies and big kids.

We've had this climbing dome for almost 5 years. It served us well when Bowman was little and we weren't ready to commit to a full blown jungle gym.

My kiddos love Monopoly Junior. Bowman is old enough for the real deal but Frank can play this one too. We also love Spot it and I keep it in the car at all times for when we eat out.

Our stand by favorite toys that I recommend for ALL kids are magna-tiles. They are really the only toy that all of our kids enjoy playing with and never seem to out grow. I even enjoy them!

These tents are so fun! If you have a reader, these are a super fun place to hide and read.

I gave Bowman one of these cameras last year and he loved it! They also now make a really cool printer that you can use to print photos from your phone on the go.

The radio flyer push wagon is a great present for starting walkers. Bowman and Libby both loved theirs well.

This classic tea set is adorable. I'm going to give Libby another year on this one but excited for tea parties in the future.

These garmin vivos are super cool! They track kid's steps and you can set up different rewards for chores and things. These are great for ADHD kids to help them motivate to get lots of exercise. Here's a list of Mark approved gift ideas for the men in your life.

The new Iphone 12. I know that Mark is secretly eyeing one but doesn't want to spend the money on one.

Man Soap. This stuff smells amazing. It's super masculine and feels luxurious but also like super rugged. Stuff one in his stocking.

Ember Temperature Controlled Mug. For my favorite tea drinker! Keeps their drink at a steady temperature during those endless zoom meetings.

Leather Iphone Case. So handsome and classic. I kind of want one for me.

Mark wants his own Chaco Sandals this year so he's all ready for our trip to Colorado next summer. I'm not going to lie, I'm ready for him to replace the Tevas!

August Tea. Mark's newest obsession. He's always been a huge coffee drinker but made the switch to teas and he loves these varieties. They are super robust.

Leather Tech Wallet. I love this brand and anything leather. This keeps all the gadgets organized for traveling or commuting.

Slippers. These are super handsome and with so many fellas working from home, cozy slippers are a must.

Theragun. This is on both Mark's and my list. I guess that makes us officially old geezers.

Bottle Keeper. A fun present for the beer drinking fellas.

Yeti Daytrip. It's like an uber fancy lunch box for those on the road a lot or still going in to the office.

Leather Airpod Case Okay, I'm officially obsessed with leather.

Upgraded Workout Clothes. Mark pretty much lives in workout clothes working from home and loves these Under Armor shirts.

Harry's Shave Kit. Mark ordered this recently and really likes it. He's super picky and rarely tries new things on his own accord but he's been really impressed by this.

Untuck-it Dress Shirt. Mark loves these! They are pretty pricey so I try and get him one every Christmas. They wash so well and are very low maintenance.

Native Union Charging Pad. This cool thingy ma jig charges all of your devices at the same time.

Muscle Balm. A little goes a LONG way with this stuff. It's the best muscle balm, Mark's ever tried. Super duper potent and effective and totally clean.

Extra Long Lighting Charging Cable This one is super fancy. I will probably get this from him and then secretly steal it from him to charge all my things.

Pouce Oil. Just trust me on this one. This is for both of you and you will not regret it. Like, WOW. This will bless your intimacy big time.

Leather Briefcase. Timeless. Classic. Gorgeous. Again with the leather.

I've spent WAY too much time on this guide you guys. This is ADHD Hyperfocusing at it's best!!! I hope that it helps you big time.

Hugs,

Amy
