I love Thanksgiving! This is my first year in a long while not hosting at our house or cooking the turkey. My mom usually hosts Christmas but they'll be traveling this year so we swapped. It's actually kind of nice to switch things up and means I'm a little less stressed this week. I'm bringing four side dishes that can all be made in advance so I'll get to spend Thursday morning at our local Turkey Trot and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade with the kiddos.
Do you have favorite recipes that you make each year? I'm not a huge traditionalist but I do stick to these tried and true recipes every year. I thought I'd share in case they help you!
My Thanksgiving Favorite Recipes
Sweet Potato Casserole (I'm NOT a fan of the marshmallow version)
Martha Stewart Chocolate Pecan Pie (my favorite pie)
Rolls: Sister Shuberts Parker House Style Yeast Rolls (dang that gluten!)
Favorite Thanksgiving Wine: Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc
Other Drinks: Publix Lemonade and Diet Sweet Tea
I created a simple Thanksgiving Meal Plan that you can print out if you need help keeping track of who is bringing what this year. If you like it, you are going to love the free Holiday Thriving Guide which will help you think through all.the.things coming at you this holiday season!
I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving!
Hugs,
Amy
